Event Spotlight: AYA ValleySCARE

Tell us about your event:

"AYA ValleySCARE is a social event for current and former Children's Minnesota oncology patients ages 15–30 to connect with each other. Attendees will spend the evening together at Valleyfair’s ValleySCARE, enjoying rides, haunted attractions, and a fun night outside of the hospital."

What else should folks know about your event or organization?

"We’d love to spotlight the importance of creating opportunities for adolescents and young adults with cancer to connect with peers who understand what they’re going through. Our AYA program at Children’s Minnesota is working to build community for patients beyond their medical care, and events like ValleySCARE give teens and young adults a chance to step outside the hospital environment, have fun, and simply spend time with other people their age who share similar experiences."
