Event Spotlight: MM Latin Dance Night

What inspired you to create this event? What should people know about it?

“Medway Marches is thrilled to offer a fun night of dancing in our growing community of Medway, Massachusetts. In addition to demonstrating the basic steps for Salsa, Bachata and Merengue, we will provide an interactive lesson on the history and cultural significance of these Caribbean dance forms. We hope this event provides a jubilant crowd of all ages a fun opportunity to stay warm and active in the peak of winter! While Medway Marches hosts many cultural events throughout the year, this will be our very first Latin Dance Night!

Medway Marches is a non-profit organization, on a mission to create inclusive spaces for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. We thrive on uplifting and celebrating our differences within the town of Medway, while simultaneously educating one another. We believe racism, and bigotry can be combated through exposure to eclectic experiences. We are proud to boast an annual roster of Juneteenth Celebrations (featuring Black artists, painters, and vendors), African Drummers, Annual Black History Month events, Medway’s Diwali Festival and a multi-cultural holiday float in Medway’s annual Christmas parade.”
