Event Spotlight: Backpack Mafia Beat Battle
Tell us about your event:
We are BackPack Mafia Beat Battle League. We provide a live platform for music producers to test their skills against competitors and let the audience decide, “Who’s The iLLest On The Beat?”
How long have you hosted this event?
We hold the event 3 to 4 times per year. The inaugural season of 2019 marked our launch. We are currently celebrating 5 seasons of BackPack Mafia.
What else should folks know about your organization?
Co-Hosts & Founders Donald “L-Biz” Foreman & Dwight “Grand Phee” Cook are seasoned music professionals from Buffalo, NY with over 40+ years of combined experience as Hip-Hop artists and Producers.
We currently have 20+ participating producers; some traveling to participate in the BackPack Mafia from other northeastern cities and southern Ontario, Canada. In 2023-2024 we have expanded to music festival appearances as well as hitting the road with our roster to challenge producers from other cities and states across the country.
