Event Spotlight: AppCounsel
Tell us about your event:
“AppCounsel is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the criminal justice reform space. Our mission is to intervene in criminal cases before conviction – providing legal, investigative and monetary support, to stop wrongful convictions before they happen. This was our inaugural fundraiser. We are currently planning our second annual fundraiser for April 2026!”
What else should folks know about your event or organization?
“Just that we are new & passionate about justice and a fair trial for all! We have successfully appealed convictions for two clients in the last 16 months and secured their release from prison. We work closely with exonerees who are now free & want to make sure others don’t suffer their fate of wrongful conviction.“

Also founder of Greenlight Growth Marketing, he holds degrees from Indiana University (BA English/Psychology 2008) and the University of Illinois-Chicago (M.Ed. Secondary Education 2012). He lives in Maine with his wife, 2 kids, and 2 annoying cats.
