The Role
RSVPify is seeking a skilled and self-sufficient WordPress Developer to take ownership of our marketing website. This role requires full-stack WordPress expertise—someone who can build flexible, reusable templates and components that are fully editable within the WordPress admin by non-technical team members.
You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining a scalable, performance-optimized WordPress environment that empowers our marketing and content teams to scale marketing, SEO and AIO strategies and initiatives.
While this is a technical role first, candidates with a marketing mindset are strongly preferred—especially those with experience supporting or collaborating on website optimization, conversion-focused improvements, and AIO (generative AI optimization for visibility in tools like ChatGPT, Google generative results, Perplexity, etc.). Experience working closely with marketing teams or contributing to web strategy is a major plus.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, maintain, and optimize RSVPify’s WordPress-based marketing site
- Build editable, reusable templates, components, themes and plugins
- Convert Figma designs and creative direction into pixel-perfect, responsive, and accessible pages that adhere to brand and UX standards
- Ensure site performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness standards are met
- Perform routine upgrades to WordPress instances and associated plugins
- Implement tracking, analytics, and A/B testing scripts (e.g. GA4, GTM, VWO, etc.)
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support content publishing and campaign launches
- Contribute to strategies for improving visibility in SEO and generative search and AI results
- Troubleshooting WordPress and content issues
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Experience building and customizing editable templates within modern WordPress environments
- Experience building components editable in Elementor an similar builders
- Able to independently QA and troubleshoot across browsers and devices
- Familiarity with analytics and marketing tools (e.g. Google Tag Manager, GA4, HubSpot)
- Experience in conducting A/B and multivariate testing to optimize conversion funnels
- Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with non-technical teams
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting website optimization and improving conversion performance
- Familiarity with SEO and AIO (generative AI optimization) strategies and/or eager to quickly learn and collaborate
- UX and visual design sensibilities; able to make layout decisions without full mocks
- Experience working in a B2B SaaS or event-tech environment
- Understanding of accessibility standards and implementation best practices
