About the Role:
At RSVPify, we are building an innovative event management platform that simplifies the planning process for personal and business events. As the Lead Data Scientist for Growth & Analytics, you will be the first data science hire in our small yet ambitious company. In this crucial role, you will drive the growth of our user base, shape our product strategy, and optimize user engagement by leading all data science and analytics initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and marketing, to uncover new opportunities for expanding our user base and improving our products.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Define, measure, and track North Star and input metrics to align the organization’s focus on key growth drivers
- Analyze user data and build predictive models to identify growth opportunities and optimize user experience across activation, engagement, retention, and referrals
- Design and oversee the experimentation process, run A/B tests and multivariate experiments aimed at improving growth levers, and drive data-driven decision making
- Establish and lead the data science function within RSVPify, setting the direction and methodology for future data science and analytics initiatives
We are looking for someone who:
- Has 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong background in SQL, Python, and popular Python libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy, and Jupyter
- Has a solid grasp of statistics, including both frequentist and Bayesian approaches, and a strong foundation in experimental design
- Possesses a deep understanding of fundamental machine learning algorithms, including regression and decision trees
- Has experience with BI tools like Tableau and Heap and data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
- Demonstrates domain knowledge in growth, marketing, and product analytics
- Is an excellent communicator who can effectively tailor the narrative to different audiences and collaborate cross-functionally
